Commissioned in 2015, the property consists of forty mining concessions and is characterised by both low and high sulphidation epithermal mineralised systems, hosted by veins, breccias and disseminations within tertiary volcanic. We have found an additional 3 million gold equivalent ounces since operations commenced and there remains strong geological upside.
The original 2012 feasibility study was based on resources of the main Angela vein, accessed through a ramp starting from a portal located at an elevation of approximately 4,400 metres ASL. A primary crusher plant is situated close to the portal with a conveyor belt 1.5km in length, transporting ore to the plant and a waste dump located one km to the south. The mining methods employed are sub-level stoping, utilising long-hole drilling and paste backfill as well as cut-and-fill utilising horizontal drilling.
