OUR REPORTING AND RATINGS
Hochschild Mining reports on its sustainability performance through quarterly updates on Key Performance Indicators, highlighting key initiatives in the Annual Report and Accounts, and comprehensive disclosure in a standalone Sustainability Report.
The annual Sustainability Report covers not only the activities and performance of the Company and its subsidiaries, but also of joint-ventures where it acts as operator. The report is:
- is prepared in accordance with the "Core" option of the Global Reporting Initiative Standards; and
- is independently assured by PwC
After a comprehensive internal review, the board of directors approved, in May 2022, the Key Performance Indicators ("KPIs") against which the Company's sustainability performance will be measured.
The selected KPIs which, as shown in the table below have been calibrated to 2021 performance, takes into account the materiality assessment which identified areas of importance to both internal and external stakeholders.
Performance against these KPIs will be reported on an annual basis.
We will monitor the continued relevance of the selected KPIs which will be supplemented as appropriate, for example, by the addition of key Climate Change related KPIs on completion of Hochschild's Climate Strategy to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
