OUR REPORTING AND RATINGS
Hochschild Mining reports on its sustainability performance through quarterly updates on Key Performance Indicators, highlighting key initiatives in the Annual Report and Accounts, and comprehensive disclosure in a standalone Sustainability Report.
The annual Sustainability Report covers not only the activities and performance of the Company and its subsidiaries, but also of joint-ventures where it acts as operator. The report is:
- is prepared in accordance with the "Core" option of the Global Reporting Initiative Standards; and
- is independently assured by PwC
After a comprehensive internal review, the Board of Directors approved in August 2023 the Company KPI targets for 2030. These targets take into account the materiality assessment which identified areas of importance to both internal and external stakeholders. The selected KPI targets for 2030 will be measured against the 2021 baseline year. Performance against these targets will be reported on an annual basis.
Reporting Developments
The Company will monitor the continued relevance of the selected KPI targets and will be supplemented as appropriate, for example, by the revision of key Climate Change related targets on completion of Hochschild's Climate Strategy to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

CDP - Climate Disclosure Project: a global disclosure system supporting organisations in managing their environmental impacts resulting in scores ranging from A to D-
Hochschild participates in the Climate Change, Forestry and Water Security questionnaires.
Morningstar ESG Risk Rating: measures the degree to which a company's valuation is exposed to unmanaged ESG risks. Ratings are given on the following scale: 0-9.99 Negligible, 10-19.99 Low, 20-29.99 Medium, 30-39.99 High, 40+ Severe.
MSCI: a rating organisation focussing on ESG metrics to measure the management of financially relevant ESG risks and opportunities (ratings range from leader (AAA, AA), average (A, BBB, BB) to laggard (B, CCC))
FTSE Russell ESG Rating: a rating that allows investors to understand a company's exposure to, and management of, ESG issues in multiple dimensions. Ratings range from 0 to 5 to 1 decimal point (5 being the highest rating)
